He is the author of the training manual for business broking (CBBR) "Certificate of Business Broking Realtors" and many articles for newspapers and magazines. Jill Corfield

Jill Corfield, has become a household name in the real estate industry. Jill has been in the real estate industry since 1978 and has been training both agents and Principals for most of that time. She is probably most well known for training and preparing students for the EAAB exams since 1984 – her personal hobby-horse being “ethics and the code of conduct”. Jill believes that the single most important influence on her career was the three years she served as an EAAB Member and, in particular, on the Disciplinary and Claims Committees. Jill, an accredited Assessor, Moderator and Verifier with Services SETA, has served on many SETA Workshops and Task Teams and has been one of the Material Writers for the EAAB for the current F.E.T. Certificate – Real Estate – NQF Level 4. She also served on the Task Team that put Level 5 together

Fred Johnson

Fred Johnson started his career in Property in Cape Town in 1975 after 9 years in Sales and Marketing positions in the FMCG market.

He has some 15 years, officially, in Property Sales with the balance being involved with own businesses and assisting with the completion and marketing 

of a few inventions.

A believe that change can only be affected if one gets involved drives him to want more recognition for Estate Agents and a stronger voice; with more member support;

Michelle Wilmans

I relocated from Johannesburg to Westville 18 years ago.  Having a secretarial background in conveyancing was a huge advantage when I decided to join the real estate business 13 years ago.  The knowledge that I had gleaned while being a conveyancing secretary gave me the edge as I had firsthand experience of the buying and selling process, which the clients really appreciate.   As I have a young family, this industry gives me the flexibility to be there for them when necessary and still be a successful Estate Agent. It’s basically a win, win situation!

Marietjie Rass

Marietjie Rass has been in marketing and sales since 1981, and has a wide knowledge across many industries including banking, insurance, time share and real estate.

 

Marietjie’s real estate career began in 1996 when she started holding show-days for a prominent Ballito agent.

In 2002 her real estate career really took off when she joined Re/max as a full time agent, focusing on sales of Sectional Title and off plan developments.

During her time at Re/max, Marietjie became accredited to handle sales in Simbithi Eco Estate and has continued to follow her real estate passion within Simbithi selling Sectional Title, New developments and land. 

In 2007, Marietjie, together with colleagues opened her own agency, firstly as Leapfrog then in November 2010 converting to the Tyson Properties brand. 

Being a Simbithi resident, Marietjie has served on the Home Owners Association Board of Simbithi Eco Estate for a year and has acted as Chairlady of her Body Corporate (100 units) for the last 4 years.

Gary Nichols

Gary first started in real estate in 1991 as an estate agent for his father’s real estate business. With his family real estate back ground he has made real estate his career.

In 1996 he moved from been an estate agent and took up a position as a regional manger in the old Homenet group. After a short stint as marketing manager for Cyberagent and Cyber Prop, he moved to the International Real Estate franchise group, RE/MAX, where he held the position of Franchise Development manger.

 

In 2007 he took up the position as Director: Sales & Operations for the Harcourts Real Estate Group.

 

He has come a full circle and currently operates as an agent for RE/MAX Toti, selling Commercial and Industrial Property and business brokering.

Jackie Johnson

I started my career in commercial in 2004 and then branched out into residential. I achieved "rookie of the year" in 2005. I love residential real estate. I enjoy up-skilling and have continued to attend various sales and negotiations courses and real estate investing courses over the years. I saw an opportunity in the market in 2008 for a rental portfolio in my franchise office. I set up the rental division for my office and got it up and running. In October 2008 I was promoted to sales manager of my office. I have completed my NQF4 and was one of the first estate agents in the country to write my professional Designation Exam earlier this year. I am currently managing and mentoring the rookie agents in my office. It is a demanding and exciting career which I thoroughly enjoy.
